This independent project, CHEER, aimed to shine a spotlight on uplifting opportunities for teens with developmental and Intellectual disabilities. CHEER follows the challenges and triumphs of a competition cheerleaders with special needs as they strive to fit in and be part of the valued world of mainstream cheerleading competitions around the state. CHEER opens hearts and minds to a new way of thinking about the last segregated community in America, people with developmental disabilities.
